Accelerating Innovation

Vereniging Eigen Huis is a Dutch homeowner association that helps over 700,000 members in buying, renovating and selling real estate by providing reliable information and advice, and making the markets more transparent overall.

Vereniging Eigen Huis wants to enhance their offering and value they bring to clients by continuously providing sustainable housing improvements. Their specific focus in this innovation project was at saving costs and providing costs overview to clients.

In the broad scope of “home-owners” and “cost-saving” we started co-creating sessions with the client to narrow down the problem and the space to operate.

In a lean and agile way, we went forth to speed-up from ideation to a validated concept. During the ideation phase we:

  • Via a process of continuous learning, 4 high-potential ideas generated during the ideation phase were developed into concepts.
  • We built concepts into paper prototype and clickable prototypes.

Following the ideation phase, we focused our efforts on concepting and validating the ambitious idea to make life better for over 700.000 people in the Netherlands.

  • Via a process of continuous learning, 4 high-potential ideas generated during the ideation phase were developed into concepts.
  • We built concepts into paper prototype and clickable prototypes.
  • Conducted a panel research and face-to-face interviews to test the level of interest in Vereniging Eigen Huis’ members.

As a result, Vereniging Eigen Huis got a validated concept of a cost-savings tool in the most (cost) effective way.

"I have worked together with XL family to create concepts that help our members reduce household’s costs. XL family facilitated the project from the ideation phase to the prototyping and testing phase. Working with XL family's flexible, agile and customer-oriented team was a pleasurable experience."
